Hobo uses a variety of methods to improve care and cure. Hobo develops new expertise, products and services with partners and on its own. Besides that other parties can appeal to Hobo’s expertise. Hobo’s activities can be characterized as:
- Fundamental: the development of fundamental innovative concepts through a.o. Ph.D. programmes (creating Intellectual Property) and Master’s projects.
- Applied: turning concepts into prototypes in cooperation with other – possibly commercial – parties (also in the form of third party assignments)
- Validation and reliability: us.ing medically and ethically justified methods to validate and measure the reliability of new techniques, a.o. aided by the widely differing patient population at Kempenhaeghe and the facilities that are available at Kempenhaeghe (also in the form of third party assignments).
